Advent Reflections on Immigration

December 1, 2008

SILVER SPRING, MD--Beginning December 1 and each week thereafter during Advent, reflections on four different aspects of immigration--causes, raids, detention centers and comprehensive immigration reform--will be posted on the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas website at www.sistersofmercy.org/Advent2008 (In Spanish at www.sistersofmercy.org/Adviento2008).

“These thought-provoking messages are being offered to stimulate spiritual reflection around critical justice issues impacting all of us as we work for immigration reform in this country,” said Susan Severin, RSM, justice team member, Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas.

The Sisters of Mercy stand in solidarity with immigrants, refugees and trafficked persons seeking fullness of life.
