Membership Levels and Benefits

The National Communicators Network for Women Religious offers three levels of membership: individual, associate and corporate.

Individual membership in NCNWR is considered to be a membership of the person or persons engaged in communicating the mission of women religious through the individual’s work with a congregation of women religious. There is a discount for multiple individual NCNWR members communicating the mission of a single congregational entity.

Benefits of individual membership include:

• Forum to address communication issues as they impact religious life
• Access to member listserv and members only area of the NCNWR web site
• Opportunities for continuing education, leadership development and professional growth
• Regional networking opportunities
• Participation in voting and eligibility for board service
• Access to resources to address specific community's needs
• Participation in national conference at a discounted rate

The cost for individual membership is $225 annually. For additional individual members from the same congregation (communicators who are working out of the same office), the cost is $200.

Associate membership in NCNWR is available to individuals who are working with an organization or institution that is engaged in supporting vowed religious life but do not fulfill the requirements for individual NCNWR membership. Associate members might include, but are not limited to, those working with LCWR, NRVC, NCDC and similar organizations; persons employed by men’s vowed religious communities; or social justice, vocations, development and leadership representatives for communities of women religious. Associate members are not eligible to participate in voting or to hold elected or appointed positions within NCNWR.

Benefits of associate membership include:

• Forum to address communication issues as they impact religious life
• Access to member listserv and members only area of the NCNWR web site
• Opportunities for continuing education, leadership development and professional growth
• Regional networking opportunities
• Access to resources to address specific community’s needs
• Participation in national conference at a discounted rate

The cost for associate membership is $200 annually.

Friends of NCNWR are individuals, organizations, or corporations that offer services and/or expertise to NCNWR members and provide financial support to NCNWR. The annual friend fee is set by the Board. Benefits available to Friends of NCNWR include:

• Inform Members
  • Access to the NCNWR Mailing List once per year for a print mailing
  • Opportunity to exhibit during the Welcome Reception at the NCNWR Annual Conference at no charge*
  • Recognized on stage by the NCNWR Board Chair during the NCNWR Annual Conference
  • Opportunity to attend the NCNWR Annual Conference at the discounted member rate
• Advertising to NCNWR Members and Beyond
  • Featured in the NCNWR Members’ e-newsletter once per year (or another Board communication until an e-newsletter is launched)
  • Company/Organization listing on the Friends of NCNWR Page of the NCNWR website that links to company/organization
  • NCNWR Plaque recognizing your company or organization as a Friend of NCNWR
