Nazareth Retreat Center: $100 Gift Certificate

Nazareth Retreat Center stands in the long tradition of the ministries of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Housed on the Nazareth Campus near Bardstown, Kentucky, the Nazareth Retreat Center offers opportunities for spiritual reflection in a holistic approach which reverences the human spirit and all of creation.

With this new ministry we hope to be in touch with the diverse needs and longings of the people of God in these challenging times. Through offerings of a space apart, days of reflection, retreats, spiritual direction and others, in a holistic, ecumenical approach, Nazareth Retreat Center invites others to enter into a contemplative time, a way of being in which the fullness of life, which God desires for all of us, may be opened and affirmed.

In addition, we offer opportunities for alternative body therapies such as massage and energy work, as well as cultural opportunities to nurture the spirit. The beauty of the Nazareth Campus invites you to come!

We are also available to offer days of reflection/retreats/workshops on various topics off campus at your own site. http://www.scnfamily.org/retreats/

An angelic doll for a special child

We call them “Sister Rita Dolls” because they are handmade with love and prayer by our Sister Rita Plante in Silver City, New Mexico. But the special child who receives her will almost certainly come up with her own “christening” for this 24-inch tall adorable doll. She has a cloth body, button eyes, a hand-painted face, white pantaloons and a blue bow in her  golden curls; over her lace-trimmed blue dress she wears a “Winnie The Pooh” pinafore — and underneath it all is Sister Rita’s signature and the doll’s “birthdate.”

The children who have received Sister Rita Dolls consider them priceless, but in our Motherhouse Gift Shop the tag says $50.

Donated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Concordia, Concordia, Kansas.
